Dual Excitation Shakers

Lengthy and heavy devices require dual excitation shaker systems for vibration testing. Dual excitation shaker systems typically consist of two shakers with horizontal or vertical orientations. Dual excitation shaker systems enable the testing of long and heavy payloads in the Horizontal Push-push, Push-pull and Vertical configurations.

The entire series of Sentek Dynamics’ shakers can be configured to form dual excitation shaker systems. The criteria for sizing a dual-shaker system depends upon the size of the device under test, desired test profiles, and number of axes required to test.

To facilitate all three horizontal and vertical dual excitation shaker system configurations, a rail system is required. Sentek Dynamics offers custom motorized rail systems to facilitate quick and easy changes between each configuration.

Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Control

Sentek Dynamics’ Dual Excitation shaker systems use the Crystal Instruments’ Spider System vibration controller for advanced MIMO control.  The Spider System recreates multiple degree-of-freedom vibration environments in the testing laboratory and provides all the control types users may require including MIMO Random, MIMO Sine, MIMO Shock, and more.  For more information regarding the Spider System see the Vibration Controllers section or contact the Sentek Dynamics’ sales office.
